Keyboard shortcuts can be used to navigate aspects of this site without a mouse or cursor.


When viewing a item, select or tab into the image viewer and use the following controls to manipulate the image.


  • Move up: w or [up arrow]
  • Move down: s or [down arrow]
  • Move left: a or [left arrow]
  • Move right: d or [right arrow]
  • Return to centre: 0
  • Zoom in: = or [shift] + w or [shift] + [up arrow]
  • Zoom out: - or [shift] + s or [shift] + [down arrow]
  • Rotate clockwise: r
  • Rotate counterclockwise: R
  • Flip horizontally: f

    Recipes from the Sterling and Francine Clark Personal Papers

    The Personal Papers of Robert Sterling Clark contain a variety of documents, records, writings, inventories, and ephemera accumulated by RSC and Francine. Typed and handwritten recipes for dishes from quiche lorraine to corn dodgers are collected in the Writings series.

    Mary Ann Beinecke Decorative Art Collection

    Weaver and author Mary Ann Beinecke assembled an important collection of books on decorative art with particular strengths in costume history, handicrafts, and textile design. This collection, spans the period from 1550 to the 1970s.

    David A. Hanson Collection of the History of Photomechanical Reproduction

    This collection documents the history of photomechanical printing from its development in 1826 through the perfection of three-color printing at the beginning of the twentieth century.

    Julius S. Held Collection of Rare Books

    This collection include works by Virgil and Ovid, versions of Aesop's fables, titles on astronomy, religion, natural history, and anatomy dating from the sixteenth through the nineteenth century as well as important art histories and early treatises on iconology and emblems

    Rare Books and Manuscripts

    Digitized rare volumes acquired by the library individually rather than as part of a collection.
